Tickle Me Link

A cherished rose from my son sits on my windowsill

Some things from around the web this week that are share worthy....

How about a round of applause for her honesty.  I can definitely relate.

Some reaffirming words to tackle that impossible list.

Don't let your children watch big band performances on TV.  Too much sax and violins.

Do you notice the little old ladies in your life?

Strip down, let loose, dance your ass off... in your bedroom?

There's proof in the congo that beauty turns up in the places you least expect it.  Breathtaking.

Like most, sometimes I get lost in the comforts that we are afforded in our lives.  Then a story comes along that snaps you awake and truly touches your heart.  This happened to me.  If you're already a fan of Under The Sycamore, then you know Ashley Ann is is a remarkable mom to four kids.  Well, her family is adopting a fifth child and she's been sharing their journey on her blog.  They're currently awaiting their new daughter/sister who is still in a rural orphanage in China.  The conditions are unimaginable to a mother.  It shook me to my core.  Could you imagine your own child beginning life like this?  My heart just breaks open.  Then my sorrow turned to joy.  Ashley Ann started the incubator project for the orphanage and quickly realized success with all of her readers support.  Yaaaay!  Of course, there are many more wonderful things that extra funds can do for this orphanage, so please, please, please take a moment to read more about it here.  This sad, sad story turned into a beautiful breakthrough for me.  My hope is that you, too, are touched in an inexplicable way.

As an added bonus for donating you can choose one of seven beautiful prints as a reminder of this project.  Ashley Ann says,
"Obviously, I am excited to do this in honor of my daughter. I am excited for at risk newborns to have a safe and sterile place to lie. And I am grateful to have a blog that makes a project like this even possible. My hope is that for those of you that do donate, that when you look at the print hanging on your wall….your mind will drift to a little orphanage in a rural area of Asia and to those sweet babies in the cribs. And that as your mind drifts there your life would be impacted by Song’s…that you will advocate, pray, give thanks, hug a little one a bit tighter….that a song in your heart will rise up."

I chose Your Love Is A Song by Joy's Hope to hang in my son's room.  I'll explain this wonderful story to him.  Proof that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

I had never heard this song before.  I love it!!!  Such a magnificent message of God's love and grace.

May these glorious words fill your heart with the reminder of His omnipresence.  Have a blessed day!
